Dad, this is super simple. I love you. Thank you for always being my father & always having faith & pride in me being your son. I have seen you do everything, including cry. You are the strongest person I have ever known. You hold worlds together with rarely ever a word of thanks. Most times you get judged & condemned based on mistakes you may have made like you aren't & haven't always been just as human as the rest of us. I am far from being a perfect son, but you truly are a perfect father. Living the life I've lived I see the results of the lack of a father in the lives of many a man & woman. I see how much people struggle with identifying themselves & learning how to learn. You taught me many things. You taught me how to read. You taught me how to write. You taught me how to give myself to the people I love. People who I can't claim naturally deserve it, but who I deem worthy of the investment of me. You taught me in the way I learn best, not from words (although I learned from them too), but through your actions. I wish the world could see you the way I do. Not so that they can praise you, yes, you deserve that. I wish they could because then they would have the example in their lives that I have. You are a guiding light. My own personal Jimminy Cricket. Without you & the anchor of support you are I would have drifted away into obscurity & vanished forever. Now because of the name you've bestowed upon me I will be forever linked with greatness. No one on this planet has to value you Dad. If everyone overlooks you on a day to day basis, know that I always look for you. I look to you. I look up to you, & I am studying your every move. I absorb everything I can from you because I want to be more & more like you. You are the best example I've ever had of anything. Thank you for your love and investment.
