I was enlightened today & learned more about you. Why? Because you opened up. Because you shared who you are today with me based off who you were & what you experienced. This journey you're on hasn't been easy, and it's far from over. It's still plagued with all kinds of obstacles and issues that need to be overcome, but I think that I can honestly say that we both know they will. You have struggled through so many highs and lows that have made you stronger simply by moving forward and that progress cannot be unmade. You are unbelievable and I am waiting for you to start believing in you like I do. It's your turn and your time. Today begins a new era and realm for you to live in. Living one day at a time is a blessing. A blessing that I need you to embrace. Everyday won't feel the greatest, but every day that you're here, and fully here on top of that is a day with endless potential and opportunities. Who you are matters just as much today as it did yesterday. Just as much today as it did the day you were born. And just as much today as it will thousands of years after we're gone. You matter. Just wanted to say it plain so it can't be misconstrued. Keep striving and surviving. You have not peaked and your better days are right around the corner. Thank you for allowing you to be seen. Thank you for being accountable and making the efforts that need making. Thank you for not allowing yourself to stay in the rut of comfortability, & thank you for not saying f**k it and stop caring about you & who you have fought so hard to become because that would be the easier route. Thank you for continuing to parent after being abandoned to do so on your own. Thank you for having love to share even when you had none for yourself. Thank you for choosing to invest in us.
